Established in 1946 by Horace Greeley High School students, the Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund exists to make up "the difference" between the actual costs of college and all other financial resources available to students and their families. Over the last sixty-five years, hundreds of Greeley students have been awarded need-based grants from the Fund. Last year alone, we were able to award $168,000 in grants to thirty recipients, but we still had applicants with unmet need. Continued support from the community is important now more than ever.

The HGSF's Annual Fundraiser - Thursday, March 15, 2012

Please join us at a historic Chappaqua landmark for our annual fundraiser. Always a fun and heartwarming evening, this event helps to "make up the difference" for Greeley graduates who need financial assistance in order to make their dream of attending college a reality.

This year, we are thrilled to announce Lyndall Boal as the recipient of the Ed Habermann Award. Lyndall Boal is a beloved middle school social worker who also leads students on monthly visits to area nursing homes, as well as a guiding force for the non-profit, New Castle Cares. She is an important member of our community who embodies the spirit and dedication of the late Dr. Habermann. After 23 years working in the Chappaqua Central School District Lyndall Boal will be retiring in June 2012. We invite you to join our celebration of this award, featuring paired wines and creative cuisine, a fabulous silent auction and some special surprises.

Please join us on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 6:30pm for our annual fundraising event at Crabtree's Kittle House, 11 Kittle Road, Chappaqua.

TICKETS: $125.00 per person

HONOREE: Lyndall Boal, award presentation at 8:00pm
